Overnight mutual funds AAUM grows 5 times in 10 months

Mutual fund managers claim the categorization had taken away their flexibility to invest, resulting in money flowing into a set of stocks. This has impacted performance of mutual fund schemes, say a few fund managers.

After 28 February, only KYC verified investors to transact in MFs

An AMFI circular will put an end to the old practice of accepting application forms and cheques alongside KYC forms said the head of operations at a mid-sized mutual fund. Investors will have to first complete their KYC and their status will have to appear as ‘verified’ with the KRA (KYC Registration Agency) such as CVL or CAMS.





SEBI gives direct access to stock exchanges for mutual fund investments

Very soon, investors will be able to invest in mutual funds directly through the stock exchanges on their own and without the assistance of their distributors or Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs).
